Symposium 10
Interfacial Electrochemistry: Recent Advances from Experiment and Theory

Sponsoring Division: Division 7, Physical Electrochemistry

This symposium will continue the tradition of providing one of the most important international forums for physical electrochemists and the likes to disseminate and debate the most recent experimental and theoretical advances in the broadly defined field of interfacial electrochemistry. Emphasis will be placed on how the state-of-the-art experimental and theoretical methodologies can be used in unison to advance the sciences of control at nanoscale and at molecular level in general and to enhance our fundamental mechanistic understandings of interfacial electrochemical phenomena in particular.

Topics will include:
- Kinetics and thermodynamics of electrochemical interfaces
- Double layer phenomena
- Theoretical and computational methods in interfacial electrochemistry and electrocatalysis
- Spectroscopy and imaging of electrochemical interfaces
- Structure and reactivity in electrocatalysis: from single crystals to nanomaterials
- Bridging the gap between solid/gas and solid/liquid electrified interfaces
